In association with Dr. Richard Hartnup
(of Hartnup Consultancy) we have been
involved in monitoring the condition of
some locally rare acid-grassland at
'Croft Hill' SSSI in Leicestershire. The
SSSI is an interesting botanical,
geological as well as historical feature
adjacent to a quarry thought to have
existed since Roman times. Vegetation monitoring
is providing a
comprehensive record of the site's
current botanical composition and in
particular the presence of a locally
scarce population of Upright chickweed (Moenchia
erecta). |
Customer: Aggregate Industries UK Ltd. (2008 - present).
